Deputy Mayor of London visits Redbridge
Our partnership with the GLA received further endorsement from Deputy Mayor Debbie Weekes-Bernard.
To celebrate and support the London Cost of Living Advice partnership (COLPCA) with GLA and the London Legal Support Trust (LLST) we held an event and roundtable with the Deputy of London, Debbie Weekes-Bernard at Redbridge Library. Redbridge Library is the delivery base for Citizens Advice Redbridge, and University House Legal Advice Centre also deliver specialist outreach work from the Library one day a week. The roundtable discussed the challenges for access to advice in North East London, and the changing needs and demographics of this part of London.
North East London boroughs have growing populations, rising needs, and massive pressures on borough Council budgets, with our advice services and partnerships operating in within a hugely challenging funding context and the rising demand across our services especially with the ongoing cost of living crisis.
