Summaries from our Casebook
What is our data telling us about Londoners and their advice needs?
Our Casebook system collects client data from local Citizens Advice offices, from which Citizens Advice produces Advice Trends that can be found in our Tableau repository.
Our management information data from Casebook enables us to follow trends and patterns with service users in London. As with all management information systems, the data presented may only be as good as our service capacity to provide advice and to record client data in a consistent manner - there are many more people who need our services but they cannot reach us or, despite all initiatives to widen access, we do not have capacity to support. Our limited funding and resources mean that we cannot reach all Londoners who need advice, and there is significant unmet demand across London. So is therefore important to recognise that management information data about clients is more a measure of supply, than it is of demand.
Also some of our projects and services in London don't record all client interactions on Casebook as some funders have different reporting requirements. Nevertheless, notwithstanding these caveats we have valuable data and insights about the issues facing our clients and the communities that we serve.
