Families Financial Resilience Partnership launch
London Citizens Advice are excited to launch a new project to help London families on low incomes; funded by the Greater London Authority our services will work in Family Hubs across London.
The programme builds on Advising Londoners and Advice in Community Settings, and continues our work with London Legal Support Trust as a key partner to ensure that all levels of advice can be offered under the programme. It will deepen our strategic partnership with the Greater London Authority with a focus on income maximisation support and tackling child poverty by working with twelve London boroughs to provide advice, extending access and capacity at Best Start Family Hubs and Children’s Centres.
This new £2.2 million programme will help low-income families across the capital access millions in financial support that they are entitled to, and provide free, independent advice to thousands of families with children on a wide range of issues, including benefits, housing, childcare, immigration, disability, and employment.
The launch of the programme took place in Lewisham at the Depford Family Hub where key partners were joined by the Deputy Mayor of London Debbie Weekes-Bernard and Minister for Employment, Diana Johnson MP.
